We took a great ride through the mountains out of Queenstown on the old copper mine rack & pinion rail line, with gradients of up to 1 in 12. A pretty tough call for a.90 year old steam engine.
It poured rain, which made the rain forest look its best.
As it doesn't get dark here until after 8 o'clock, we took Bostons advice & went for an evening drive to Iron Blow & Horse Tail Falls. It was well worth the time.
The lovely carriage we spent the day in.
The engine on a very wet, rainy day.
Ready to leave inside the big train shed.
The lovely, well kept steam engine.
